I recently worked with TAXI Vancouver to illustrate an advertising campaign for Vancouver Aquarium’s ‘The Secret World of Sharks & Rays’.
I created artwork to feature in newspaper adverts, posters and an animated TV spot.
I created a charity poster for Help Ink, which goes on sale today. The illustration is entitled “Win Win” and can be purchased here as a giclee or digital print.
A percentage of profits will go to Heifer. Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. With gifts of livestock and training, they help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways.
I was recently invited by Erin from dessert girl to contribute my favourite dessert recipe to her guest blog - I chose Tiramisu and was inspired to create this illustration to accompany the recipe.
I wanted to evoke the colours of the dessert and the meaning – ‘tira mi su’ loosely means “pick me up” or “lift me up” in Italian and the dessert was intended as a cheering dish to be eaten when feeling low. I also referenced the Italian origin of the dessert by imagining the illustration in the context of a 1930s Italian Art Deco poster, the sort you might see in a café.
